It has been months since my last entry, and I haven't been posting the same as I once did back in my hay-days. Truth be told, the only sketches I produce are on various documents and classwork papers, which happen to be quickly erased before being handed in. However, I write this journal today as I have decided on stumbling upon nostalgic drawings which date back all the way to the 6th grade. At first, it was to remark at the cringe inducing drawings I made in my adolescent youth. However, an unexpected outcome I came across occurred. As I got a couple years ahead (Around the 8th grade) I found drawings which I have made back in art class with my dearest friends. These drawings, left a warm feeling in me. They were sharp and jagged and more toon like compared to my recent works, yet they reminded me of childhood bonds I held with friends back then, some of whom I haven't seen in years. This then lead me down to some of my earliest deviant art works I posted, all the way back to 2014 when I was a social sally and eager to tell everyone how much I loved their art. Here, I have acquainted myself with many artistic friends who use this site frequently. Some who have left, and others who have remained. Reminiscing on all this art that has presented me with opportunities to meet fantastic people in my real life, as well as my online, turned a bad day to a real good one. Although by tomorrow I may not have this feeling anymore and may just return to a more sarcastic spiteful pessimistic personality, I want to write my thoughts on this so that if I ever decide to look through some of these old posts, I can remind myself to look through my old art, and that, although the curves are all wrong and that I used to draw on cheap loose leaf, I can reminisce on the good times from my past. From myself to you, bless yah for making my day.
